JUNE COLLECTION - Ukraine Help: The Ladies Aid is going to again collect items for Hygiene Kits through the month of June. These kits are going to be shipped through Orphan Grain Train to help the Ukrainian Refugees. A kit consists of a bath towel, a wash cloth, a bath size bar of soap, a plastic soap box holder, a toothbrush, a sturdy comb. band-aids (1/2" or 3/4"), a small package facial tissue and a nail clipper. You may provide a kit or any part of it. OR if you wish, you may provide a monetary gift to help with shipping. (Checks are to be made out to OGT and can be given to Marilyn Mueller or left in her mailbox.) This will also be a Thrivent Action Project. We thank you ahead of time for your donation.

LADIES CRAFTING EVENT: The next Ladies Crafting Event will be held Sunday, July 17th beginning at 1:00 p.m. Plan to attend for crafting and fellowship.
Craft and Fabric Exchange: Do you have a fabric and/or craft supplies that you would like to share? Are you in need of supplies? The Ladies Aid is sponsoring an exchange. Stop by the drop off room to leave supplies or pick something up. This is open to everyone. Let the crafting begin!
Ladies Aid Minutes:
June 8, 2022 9 members and 1 guest in attendance.
Our meeting began with a Bible study by Pastor Shorey entitled 'In the Father's Arms.' The May minutes were read by Micki S. and corrections were made. The treasurer report was by Sharon G. and the Sunshine report was given by Linda G. Motion to approve reports by Marilyn M. and seconded by Julie B. Old business included discussion of the successful plant sale for the zone LWML. Health kits will now be made with the donations. There will be a brat fry on July 29 in Dorchester for the Zone. Fruit pies are needed. The backpack donations came to 70 packages or 184 items. For new business -- -School supplies will start to be out, so donations will start to be collected. -LLL will have a brat fry in Athens on June 24. -We welcome new member Marilyn S. -We will hold a mite walk at the July meeting. -The Fall Rally will be held in Abbotsford. -Volunteers are needed for the National LWML convention to be held in Milwaukee in 2023. -Marilyn M. and Sally J. will be going to the District LWML convention next week. -We learned about the Angel Tree ministry that provides gifts to children whose parents are in prison. -We talked about providing altar flowers for LWML Sunday. -Cookies will be provided for the last Sunday of the month. -The silent auction will be November 5-December 11. -The busy bags for the kids are in the works. Lutheran Women Missionary League is celebrating its 80th birthday this year. We spent the morning recording a tv commercial at Courtside Furniture in Merrill sitting in their guaranteed 80 recliners on the show floor to choose from. From mites and Courtside's donation $1800 was raised for missions. Praise the Lord! We had 10 ladies from Trinity alone. There were not enough recliners for everyone to have a seat! What a fun morning!
THANK YOU! The Ladies Aid offers their thanks and appreciation for the donations provided to create Hygiene Kits. The ladies were able to assemble 51 kits which are displayed on the narthex counter. Thanks again for all who assisted and donated these items.
